A round-up of this week’s football from Newton Aycliffe Junior Section.

Under 7’s Juniors – Played against Whiteleas Titans, in a game full of goals, Aycliffe scored from Reign, Colts & Felix. MOTM was Lincoln for impressive performance.

Under 7’s Reds – Played a brilliant game of football against Redcar Town Royals. Goals from Kian (3) and Jack. Everyone played their hearts out and really enjoyed the day by the seaside.

Under 7’s Whites – Battled hard in a tough game against Washington, Aycliffe scored an excellent individual goal from Felix. MOTM was James for his solid effort in defence.

Under 9’s – Played Bedale in tough conditions, Joseph scored Aycliffe’s goal. MOTM was shared by Fletcher and Jayden for their constant tackling and hard work.

Under 10’s Blacks – Entertained Whitby Fishermen, Aycliffe started with a goal after a corner from Jarrod caused panic in the penalty area and a Whitby player bundled it in. Aycliffe battled hard against a very physical opposition. MOTM was Max who was a constant attacking threat and worked hard in midfield.

Under 10 Whites – Had a very tight game against Seaham Coast, Harry grabbed the goal for Aycliffe. MOTM was Lucas.

Under 11’s Whites – Played against Leam Rangers, putting in the best performance of the season. Goals coming from Jonah and James. MOTM was goalkeeper Jensen.

Under 11’s Juniors – Played away to Kadar Juniors, it was a tough first half, before Aycliffe picked up in the second half with two great goals from Dom. MOTM went to Charlie for his strong second half performance.

Under 12’s – Travelled to Grangetown Ambers in a cup game, up against opposition from four divisions higher, it was a tough assignment for Aycliffe and the result did not go their way.

Under 13’s – Travelled to play Hartlepool Pools Youth, in what was a tough game Aycliffe scored a well-deserved goal through Keaton who was also awarded MOTM.

Under 14’s Blacks – Had an amazing 5-3 win against South Shields, with some outstanding attacking football on display. Goals from Jayden, Fynley, Robbie, Zak, and Alex. MOTM was awarded to Keaton.

Under 14’s Whites – Maintained there 100% start to the season with another impressive win. Goals in the first half come from Tom, Sam, Ethan, and Noah. Twins Josh and Ethan combined when Josh headed home an Ethan corner. Tom added another two, before Catterick scored. Noah rounded the scoring making it Aycliffe 8 Catterick 1. MOTM was Taylor who controlled the midfield.

Under 15’s Reds – Won 5-1 against Redcar Town, in tough conditions the goals were scored by Oliver (2), George, Reuben, and Alex. The win sees the Under 15’s Reds pushing for the top spot in the league. MOTM was Oliver.

Under 15’s Whites, narrowly lost 2-1 away to Whinney Banks, Aycliffe’s goal coming from Mckenzie.

Under 17’s – Won 1-0 away to highflying Washington Juniors. Aycliffe dominated throughout the game, restricting Washington to shots from distance, while Noah, Morgan, Charlie, and Archie all went close for Aycliffe. Charlie broke the deadlock after 70 minutes with a well taken header from an excellent corner from Anthony. MOTM was Jake, superb performance at right back.

Under 18’s – Hosted local rivals Ferryhill and come away with a deserved 2-1 win. Aycliffe trailed early against the run of play. Ferryhill did their best to try and outmuscle Aycliffe, but the team stuck to the task and drew level ten minutes later with a great near post header from a corner, scored by Charlie. Into the second half, Aycliffe stepped up a gear and Charlie grabbed his second and the eventual winner slotting home inside the six-yard box.
