This week the racing began on Monday with Alan Wilks making the journey to South Shields for their monthly mile. Alan completed this mile in 6 mins 33 seconds.
On Wednesday night Richard Campbell travelled to Gateshead International stadium to take part in the final meeting of the North East Grand Prix where he ran in the 3k track race. Richard ran in the final heat of the night completing the distance in a time of 10 mins 45 seconds.
On Saturday despite the rainy conditions, Richard Holland took part in the Gateshead Trail 10k. He completed this in 44.38.
The main focus this week, however, was the Darlington 10k which took place on Sunday and being very local to us resulted in a high turnout of members for this race.

For anyone interested in joining the club, you can simply turn up at one of our sessions all of which start from the Oakleaf Complex in Newton Aycliffe. Monday night is beginners run at 6.30pm, Tuesday is endurance/speed session from 7pm, and Thursday is a track session and this takes place at Shildon Track.
