A round-up of football from Newton Aycliffe Junior Section.

Under 7’s – Hosted a good Chiton side, playing four fifteen-minute games and enjoying every second in their first ever outing.

Under 7’s Whites – Played Jarrow Jaguars and put in a wonderful team performance. MOTM was James.

Under 7’s Reds – Took part in a Tournament at Mount Pleasant Rangers and the boys played phenomenal, reaching the semi-finals.

Under 7’s Juniors – Had a fantastic tournament yesterday at Mount Pleasant Rangers, coming top of the group but missing on the trophy in the final. POTT was Zach who scored three goals. They then played in the New Durham AFC tournament lifting the plate.

Under 8 Juniors – Entered in the Summer Sizzler at Washington Hub, narrowly missing out to South Shields in the final.

Under 8’s Whites – Played in the Hilda Park football tournament today, getting to the Premiership plate final.

Under 9’s – Played their first end of season tournament in Middlesbrough. Aycliffe went four games without conceding a goal, eventually winning the tournament with a goal from Joseph. They then played Shincliffe, scoring five goals, with Marshall grabbing a hat-trick, with Jace and Andrew. They then entered a tournament at Washington, going to the whole tournament without conceding a goal, but missing out on penalties.

Under 10’s Whites – Played against Northeast Sports Youth, in an impressive performance, goals from Kai and Oscar. MOTM was Ryley. They then played Brandon United Whites; in a tight game it was Ryley who won MOTM. This was quickly followed up with a game against Shincliffe, with Oscar C scoring the goal and John getting MOTM.

Under 10’s Blacks – Played in the Mount Pleasant tournament, narrowly missing out on the semi-final. POTT was Charlie.

Under 12’s Juniors – Entered the Tees Valley tournament, finishing second in the group and finishing runners up overall. They then played a friendly against Whitton Park, winning 2-0 with goals from Jonah and Dom.

Under 12’s Blacks played Coxhoe in a friendly, winning 4-3. Goals from Rhys, Connor, Olly, and Harry. They then played in the Linthorpe tournament finishing second in the group, reaching the semi-final.

Under 13’s – Played in a tournament with Lochlan and Alfie making debuts, winning one, drawing one and losing three. Lochlan won POTT. The team then faced Newton Aycliffe Youth, trailing 3-0 the team rallied to win 4-3 with goals from Oliver, Joe, Mo, and Dan. MOTM was Huey who was incredible in the attacking centre midfield role.

Under 15’s Whites – had a team and parent bonding afternoon of footgolf. Amazing weather meant we had a lovely afternoon out. Gabe won the adult trophy and Josh for the kids. They then took part in the Linthorpe Cup, playing four group games finishing second after winning three and losing one. Winning the semi-final 2-0 and then to the final to win 1-0.

Under 16’s Whites – Played a friendly against a year older Shildon U17s, losing 2-0 in an excellent game of football.
