A local shower manufacturer has been shortlisted for two prestigious products awards over the last few weeks, with the winners of both to be announced later this month.
Newton Aycliffe based manufacturer, Roman Limited, recently launched a new designer range of Shower Enclosures, the Decem Range, which has been shortlisted as Product of the Year at the Northern Design Awards, taking place in Manchester on November 22.
Also shortlisted for Plumbing Product of the Year, at the national Build It awards, is their Roman Shield Complete Tanking Kit, which offers a quick and easy way to install a water-tight wetroom. The Kit has been shortlisted alongside two other products.
The firm’s managing director David Osborne said: “Our complete tanking kit is no stranger to awards and it has previously been the recipient of two other product awards, including the Homebuilding and Renovating Bathroom Product of the Year and the Kitchen’s, Bedrooms and Bathrooms Reader’s Choice Award for Best Bathroom Product.
“We are very excited at the prospect of potentially adding another award to the collection.”
The Decem Collection, which is manufactured at Roman’s UK headquarters in County Durham, was launched in August this year and so far the feedback from Roman’s customers has been fantastic.
Osborne added: “Our retail partners have been extremely enthusiastic about the range and we have seen displays quickly being established UK-wide.
“The bespoke-ability of the range has also stimulated much interest from the contract market, with architects and specifiers excited about the option to create something totally made to measure.”
Roman’s Decem Range and Roman Shield tanking kits are available UK wide from specialist bathroom retailers.
“We’re particularly excited about the recognition of our new Decem Range for the Northern Design Awards,” said Osbourne.
“This range is a culmination of everything we have learnt about showering over the last 28 years, so to have been shortlisted for an award in these early stages after launch is fantastic.”
The manufacturer has also previously won a Northern Design Award for their Sculptures Range of enclosures.
