A round up of Newton Aycliffe Juniors Action…

W/E 23/02/2025

Under 8’s Blues – Travelled to Billingham Juniors Blues and were exceptional from start to finish, with goals from Jude (3), Nate, and Carter and a first ever clean sheet in the league for the team. POTM was Nate, PPOTM was Jude and OPOTM was Oliver.

Under 10’s – Entertained Redcar Town Whites in a hard-fought game. Eddie M scored the only goal, whilst picking up the opposition MOTM for his constant effort. PMOTM was Alfie F up front, with notable performances from Will P and Oscar G.

Under 10’s Whites – Travelled to a wet and windy South Park. Aycliffe showed how much progression they have made and played some amazing football, coming away with a convincing performance and result. MOTM was Thomas.

Under 11’s Reds – Played Billingham Hornets in tough weather. Aycliffe controlled the in the first half and were unfortunate to trail at the break. In the second half Andrew, Jace and Charlie turned the game around for Aycliffe. MOTM was Fletcher.

Under 16’s Whites – Travelled to top of the league Thirsk for an early kick off with a threadbare squad. Josh stepped up to play in goal and it was a day to remember for Aycliffe, coming away with a great 3-1 win, with goals from Adam (2), and Ashton. MOTM was the whole team for a gutsy performance.

Under 23’s – Got back to winning ways beating league rivals Drunken Duck 3-1. Damo scored a hat-trick, with Aycliffe dominating the game. Damo and Matty were awarded MOTM.

W/E 02/03/2025

Under 8’s Blues – Entertained a strong Seaton Carew Warriors, with Carter scoring both goals. POTM was Lennox who made some brilliant saves. PPOTM was Carter for excellent passing and finishing.

Under 10’s Whites – Played against a very improved Redcar, coming away with a positive result, with the whole team working hard.

Under 11’s Reds – Played against a tough Leven side, with Charlie and Oliver T scoring Aycliffe’s goals. MOTM was Jenson who made some outstanding saves.

Under 11’s Blacks – Entertained Darlington Young Bulls, in a game of two halves. The highlight of the days was a fantastic hat-trick from Jack B, with Alfie S and Grayson adding to the goals. POTM was awarded by the opposition manager to Alfie S for his work rate and effort, all over the pitch.

Under 12’s Whites – Played Shotton Colts, coming away with a great 2-1 win. After only losing to Shotton Colts a few weeks earlier, it was redemption for the team with MOTM Charlie scoring both goals.

Under 12’s Blacks – Made the short journey to face Chilton, with a sickness bug hitting the team, only eight players were available, Aycliffe put up a great fight. MOTM was Logan.

Under 13’s Juniors – Faced a tough assignment away to league leaders Kader United, after a first half to forget, Aycliffe improved in the second half with goals from Jonah (2) and Shay.

Under 14’s – Travelled to face higher division Stokesley in the cup, trailing 2-0 at the break, Aycliffe made a remarkable comeback to win 2-4. Layton W (2) and Lucas R (2) scored the goals, whilst goalkeeper Trent provided two assists. MOTM was Layton W.

Under 16’s Blacks – Travelled to Gateshead Redheugh and participated in a
3-3 draw against a physical opposition. Playing a 3-4-3 formation, Jayden (2), and Mushy scored the goals. MOTM was Jayden.

Under 23’s – Lost 2-1 in a close game against Bearpark, with a penalty in the last ten minutes sealing the game. Sam scored Aycliffe’s goal and Curly was awarded MOTM.
