Navy Club champions of Greenfield Tuesday night league

July 18th, 2016 Martin Walker Football 0 comments 0

The Navy Club has been crowned champions of the Greenfield Tuesday Night Football League.

They won it for the first time after displacing derby rivals and former league champions Midweek Junkies, who finished a close second.

League organiser Lee Boynton is pictured (above left) with Navy Club captain Aidan Hindhaugh.

Title challenge perennials North Brit gave several top performances throughout the season but could only finish third.

Next season promises to be yet another close call with several young sides giving the old guard a run for their money.

The Greenfield Tuesday Night Football League is searching for new teams to begin in the upcoming season of 22 game weeks, looking to conclude in time for the Christmas holiday.

Teams of all abilities are welcome as the social and competitiveness aspects are in equal measure.

The league is for players of 16 years plus and is fully affiliated with the Football Association.

You can contact Lee via the Greenfield Football League Facebook page.
