NAFC LAUNCH EURO 2012 PREDICTOR!

May 8th, 2012 Martin Walker Football, NAFC, Sport 0 comments 0

By Martin Walker

Newton Aycliffe FC are offering Newtonians the chance to win a cash prize as part of an exciting Euro 2012 competition.

The club’s latest fundraising event gives punters the opportunity to predict who will win this summer’s European Championships, which starts on Friday 8th June.

Priced at just £1, punters can try to correctly guess across 15 categories, in the hope of scooping what the club hopes to be a major cash prize – 75% of income will be dished out in cash prizes.

Prediction sheets can be downloaded by clicking on this link: euro predictor

Completed sheets need to be emailed to organiser Paul McGeary, to [email protected], and payment can be made by using a safe bank transfer.

Alternatively, the sheets can be printed off and returned to Paul in person with a pound – email him for details.

Runners-up prizes are also available, the strength of which will depend on initial uptake, with 75% of income to be redistributed in the prize pool.

McGeary said: “This will be a fun way for fans, of all ages, to try to pit their wits against each other and hopefully win themselves a large cash prize.

“I’m hoping some folk may take it upon themselves to act as an agent for the scheme, and try to encourage it around their own place of work, and hopefully boost our cash prizes.

“Several people have already undertaken this initiative, and already we have amassed quite some interest and a substantial prize pool.”
