Aycliffe haulier sponsors junior football team

June 29th, 2021 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

A local haulier has come to the rescue for a local junior football team after some of their equipment was vandalised during a lockdown raid.

Heighington Football club have been fundraising to replace goals after the incident.

And the club’s Under 11 Blacks team, managed by Dave Raine, have sealed a two-year sponsorship deal with Aycliffe-based Fracks Transport.

Fracks Transport is a family-run haulage firm which was established in 1973 by husband and wife team Stan and Sandra Fraquet in Darlington.

Ongoing expansion of Fracks saw them move on to Aycliffe Business Park around 25 years ago, running a mixed size fleet of vehicles.

Mrs Fraquet said: “We’re extremely happy to be in the position to be able to offer this sponsorship due to the current ongoing pandemic which, luckily, has not affected the business.

“We are very proud to have such a talented team of boys proudly displaying our company logo including grandson Jack.

“On behalf of everyone at Fracks Transport we would like to wish the team good luck for the new season ahead.”
