Newton Aycliffe players past and present turned out for a special match at Moore Lane Park this weekend, in memory of former player Shaun Harper who passed away over a year ago.

Shaun’s mother, Sheila, talks to Aycliffe Today about the game, along with his friend Steve Moran and Aycliffe winger Stuart Owen, who’s father Dave helped organise the game.

    Great to see a good bunch of lads remembering one of the nice guys and playing the game Sharps loved and for a worthy cause. Well done Owensy and the rest of the boys,wouldn’t have minded playing myself but air fares are a bit too expensive. Good on ya lads!
