RCA GO BACK TO TOP

Sunderland RCA went back to the top of the Northern League first division on Tuesday night with a 2-1 win at home to Stokesley.

Newton Aycliffe, currently sixth in the table, go to RCA this Saturday in a re-arranged fixture.

Ex-Boro star Nathan Porritt was on target for Stokesley in Sunderland, but goals by Adam McGuiness and Robert Briggs gave them their 20th win of the season to go a point clear of West Auckland at the top.

Aycliffe are currently unbeaten in nine games and go to Meadow Park this Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
