A round-up of football from Newton Aycliffe FC’s junior section.

Under 8’s Juniors – Travelled to Redcar Athletic, a momentous day at the office with goals from Reuben (4), Zach (2), Felix K (2), Colton (2) & Lincoln. MOTM went to Reuben for great goals and wonderful team play.

Under 8’s Reds – Played Cleveland Juniors scoring some wonderful goals from Kian (4) and Thomas. MOTM was Alfie for excellent courage on the pitch.

Under 10’s Blacks – Entertained South Park Rangers, scoring lots of goals in a dominant performance. Liam B saved an early point, Jack B (6), Alfie S (2), Hughie W as well as two own goals.

Under 10’s Reds – Played against Stockton Town Whites, getting a wonderful win with goals from Joseph and a hat-trick from Koa. MOTM was Fletcher for some outstanding defending.

Under 11 Whites – Put in an impressive performance against South Sheilds Clarets coming away with a victory, goals from William B, Kia (2) & Oscar C. MOTM was goalkeeper Lucas who was outstanding.

Under 11’s Blacks – Travelled to Redcar Athletic Blues and come away with a great result. Goals scored by Tyler (5), Kai & Fin. Some superb football played by Aycliffe. MOTM was Tyler who scored an amazing five goals, a complete performance.

Under 12’s Whites – Lost 3-2 against a well organised Whickham team, a slow start saw Aycliffe 3-0 down, but they stepped up and scored goals through James and Thomas. MOTM was awarded by the opposition to Isaac.

Under 12’s Juniors – Lost a high scoring game to Shincliffe. Trailing 2-0, Aycliffe dug deep to lead 3-2 up at half time, eventually going down 6-4. Goals from Jonah (3) & Dom. MOTM was Dom & Jensen.

Under 12’s Blacks – Played against Washington Blacks, losing 3-2. Aycliffe worked hard but could not get the win. Goals from Benjamin & Bradley. MOTM was Bradley for never giving up and scoring a great goal.

Under 13’s – Travelled to Northallerton Town, after going a goal down Aycliffe dominated the game and scored some fantastic team goals to win 5-3. Goals from Archie (2), Layton, Rhys, & Tyler. MOTM was Lucas.

Under 14’s – Played Hartlepool, Aycliffe started well, with Ethan going close. Hartlepool then took the lead, into the second half Mo went close, but Aycliffe could not get the goal they deserved. MOTM was Alfie for filling in as goalkeeper.

Under 15’s Whites – Travelled to Prissick Rovers, narrowly losing 2-1 in a game Aycliffe dominated. Noah scored Aycliffe’s goal. MOTM was Jayden.

Under 15’s Blacks – Hosted FC Hartlepool, it was a fast-paced start with Hartlepool leading at the break 1-0. Aycliffe came back in the second and Danny equalised with a penalty, before Jake give Aycliffe the lead. Hartlepool battled back to win 3-2. MOTM was Dylan.

Under 16’s Whites – Won 9-0 at home against Pools Youth, goals from Mason (4), McKenzie, Jake, Will, Brad & Jayden in a game dominated by Aycliffe. Aycliffe played some outstanding football and scored some excellent goals. MOTM was awarded to Mason.

Under 16’s Blacks – Drew 2-2 at home to Sunderland West End. A wonderful team performance, goals from Alex and Will. MOTM was Harry.

Under 16’s Reds – Travelled to face Riverside Blues, in tough game it was a late penalty from Will who rescued a point in a 1-1 draw. MOTM was Aaron.

Under 18’s – Entertained North Ormesby, in a first half dominated by Aycliffe, they took the lead through Jacob. Aycliffe then missed two penalties. A great start to the season.
