NAFC Junior Section round-up

A round-up of this week’s football from Newton Aycliffe Junior Section.

Under 7’s Whites – Engaged in a goal fest against Gateshead. A great performance from the team, who all enjoyed there football. Goals from Oliver and Felix (2). POTM was Matilda, and parents POTM was Felix.

Under 7’s Juniors – Travelled to Kader FC Rangers, Aycliffe played some great football and scored goals from Reuben, Colton, Felix, and Lincoln. MOTM was Lincoln for leadership skills and great technical ability.

Under 7’s – Played against Billingham Utd and battled hard, putting in an excellent performance, showing honest heart, courage, and bravery. MOTM was Leo for a great defensive display.

Under 9’s – Played Prissick Rovers Red and started brightly with a goal in the first five minutes from Marshall after an assist from Charlie. It was then time for a lovely assist from Joseph for Charlie to score. MOTM was Charlie for his all-round game composure some excellent tackling.

Under 10’s Blacks – Hosted Hartlepool St Francis, in their first game at Moore Lane. Aycliffe started brightly with Fin, Jacob, and Max all going close. The spoils were shared, with Aycliffe’s goal coming from Tyler. MOTM was Max for his energetic performance in midfield.

Under 10’s Whites – Played South Shields FC Clarets. Aycliffe played well, with some fantastic passing & defensive skills. A great result ended with a corner from Oscar causing confusion & resulting in the ball being bundled in for an OG. MOTM was Harry C.

Under 11’s Blacks – Played against Washington Pumas, in the first half both teams were evenly matched with chances but were unable to score. In the second half, Aycliffe worked hard and goat a goal through Rhys. MOTM was Brandon for great defending skills.

Under 11’s Juniors – Travelled to Boro Rangers Madrid, in an action packed game Aycliffe scored goals through Dom (2), and Phoebe. POTM was Phoebe, who linked up well with the midfield & scored a great goal.

Under 12’s – Had a terrific result, winning 7-0 against Hartlepool St Francis at Moore Lane, in a fantastic performance, the goals were scored by Archie (4), Layton, Evan, and Sam. MOTM was Archie.

Under 13’s – Travelled to TIBS, starting slowly in the first half, and finding themselves 2-0 down at half-time. Into the second half, Aycliffe dominated, but not grab a goal, with all players put in a brave determined performance. MOTM was Alex.

Under 14’s Blacks – Hosted South Shields Foundation Blues, in what was a tough assignment. Aycliffe come away with a 5-3 with goals from Adam (2), Alex, Keaton, and Jake. This amazing team is now 35 games unbeaten. MOTM was Jake.

Under 14’s Whites – Travelled to Brompton for a top of the table clash. Brompton took the lead early on, then both teams cancelled each other out, until Jake G grabbed an equaliser. Brompton were awarded a penalty five minutes from full time which they converted to win 1-2. MOTM was Taylor.

Under 17’s – Faced Whitburn and Cleadon, managing to grab a draw despite trailing three times. The result maintains the unbeaten run in the league. Goals from Liam, Charlie, and OG.

Under 18’s – Returned to league action, hosting Stokesley at Woodham Academy. In a dominant performance Aycliffe won 5-0 which takes them back to top of the league. Aycliffe played some quality football with Zack bagging a classy hat-trick, Alex scoring with a controlled finish and Jack with a thirty yard screamer into the top right hand corner wrapping up the three points.
