Men’s Cree group completes creative garden at Greenfield

September 1st, 2021 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

The Men’s Cree group at Greenfield Arts have once again created a wonderful space for the community to enjoy.

The project has recycled the previous bamboo sculpture to extend its life beyond its original purpose.

Working alongside facilitator Ian Rigby, the group have worked together to design, recycle material and create the final product.

The bamboo planters and new pathway now form a welcoming space for Greenfield Community College and Greenfield Arts.

The group are now looking forward to a full programme in the autumn season and are preparing to collaborate on a project working alongside the Locomotion Museum in Shildon, an exciting venture which benefits the community, supports their own well-being and is supported by County Durham Public Health.

The group meet at present from 10.30am-12noon each Monday and Wednesday morning.

If you would like to know more, call 01325 379048 or email [email protected] for further details.
