DID YOU SPOT THE APRIL FOOL?

April 1st, 2012 Martin Walker Football, NAFC, News, Sport 0 comments 0

By Martin Walker

Did you spot our April Fool joke?

Earlier today we “broke” the story that Newton Aycliffe FC manager Allan Oliver had dramatically resigned.

If you believed it, then the joke’s on you!

We left a subtle clue in one of Allan’s “quotes”, when he said “I’ve had enough of walking round with a floor lip – it’s time to go.”

Our more astute readers may have worked it out – a floor lip is an anagram of April Fool!

As most Aycliffe fans will know, there’s more chance of resurrecting the Titanic than there is of Allan Oliver resigning.

Happy April Fool’s Day!
