Business Durham support for 2025 Aycliffe Make Your Mark Awards

January 23rd, 2025 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

The business support arm of Durham County Council is supporting the 2025 Aycliffe Make Your Mark Awards by being a category sponsor.

Business Durham is again sponsoring the Small Business of the Year category for the awards event being held at Hardwick Hall Hotel on May 8, in association with Senstronics.

The local authority joins Husqvarna, GEM Partnership and Moonrise 24hr Recruitment as category sponsors so far, as well as headline sponsor Senstronics.

Kerry Walker, business growth director at Business Durham – pictured above (second left) with her colleagues Chris Perry (left) and Lisa Wall (right) along with Aycliffe Business Park Community board member Thomas Prentice – said: “Business Durham is proud to be sponsoring the Small Business category at the Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards.

“Celebrating the remarkable achievements of the businesses on Aycliffe Business Park is not just an honour; it’s a vital recognition of their innovation and influence.

“Small businesses are such an important part of our business community, and the diverse and high-calibre entries really highlight the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit that defines our county.

“We believe in championing and investing in the success of local businesses, and these awards are a powerful platform to amplify their stories and contributions.

“Together, we celebrate the ingenuity, determination and success that make our business community thrive.”

ABPC board member Thomas Prentice, who is business development manager a Stiller Warehousing and Distribution, said: “Business Durham continues to be a constant source of invaluable support to companies and organisations on Aycliffe Business Park and the wider County Durham.

“Their help and assistance to Aycliffe in particular, in helping us establish Aycliffe Business Park Community and sustain it for the last 10-plus years, is greatly appreciated.

“We thank them for again supporting our marquee event of the year in the Make Your Mark Awards and we look forward to them joining us on the big night in May.”

Six categories are available for sponsorship, including Environment, Innovation, Community Champions, Businessperson of the Year, Lifetime Achievement and Apprentice of the Year.

Businesses interested in sponsoring the event can contact Martin Walker on 01642 450255 or email [email protected].

• Entries and nominations for the Aycliffe Business Make Your Mark Awards are now open, with a deadline of Tuesday, February 25. Entry forms and criteria is available at aycliffebusinesspark.co.uk/awards
