Seventeen members of Aycliffe Running Club completed the Darlington 10K course.
Support around the route was fantastic with people shouting words of encouragement, offering drinks, fresh orange segments, jelly babies and even a hose pipe to cool down the runners. It was a great atmosphere.
First to finish for Aycliffe was Martyn Knox 41:17, followed by Dave Blewitt 44:57, Michelle Zamir 45:18, Sandra Collins 48:19, Rob Nicholson 48:55, Trish Kay 49:26, Wendy Bake 50:22, Mick Brunskill 51:32, Judith Porter 52:56, Katie Gedling 54:39, Lisa Sheldon 59:01, Denise Evans 59:56, Jane Quigley 1:00:03, Susan Clark 1:02:04, Lindsey Brown 1:04:51, Donna Campbell 1:06:29 and Eve Doe 1:11:20.
Isaac Boys represented Aycliffe Running Club junior section at the annual Darlington 3K road race.
It was a very warm day for running but Isaac ran well to complete the course in 28th position in a time of 13:01.
