Aycliffe FA Vase run ends with defeat at Camberley

January 30th, 2016 Martin Walker NAFC 0 comments 0

Camberley Town 5, Newton Aycliffe 0
FA Vase fifth round

Newton Aycliffe’s run in the FA Vase came to a disappointing end with a crushing defeat at Camberley Town on Saturday.

Despite edging the first half at Krooner Park, Perry Coles scored for the hosts to give them a half-time lead.

But it was Robert Laserczuk’s goal four minutes into the second half which effectively killed the game as Aycliffe’s heads dropped.

Coles grabbed a second in the 57th minute and James Hubbard bagged the fourth six minutes from the end before Laserczuk scored direct from a corner.

Aycliffe’s afternoon was compounded by the sending off of Ashley Coffey.

Peter Dixon’s side now turn their attention to a Durham Challenge Cup quarter-final tie at Washington on Tuesday night, followed by a league game at home to Jarrow Roofing next Saturday.
