Residents in County Durham are being reminded that they need to be registered to vote if they wish to have their say in the general election.
Poll cards are being delivered to homes across County Durham.
Anyone who is already registered and is eligible to vote next month will receive a poll card providing details of their allocated polling station.

Anyone who is not registered or who has recently moved house and has not yet informed electoral services is encouraged to register at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote by Tuesday, November 26.
People who are listed on the electoral register can request a postal or proxy vote. The deadline for postal vote applications is 5pm on Tuesday, November 26, and for proxy vote applications it is 5pm on Wednesday, December 4.
