It was yet another busy weekend for the members last weekend and it is clear that race season is well underway.

The weekend began again with the Saturday Parkrun which saw some members obtain new PB’s At Sedgefield parkrun. They were Gemma Holland with 26.36, Kathleen Tonge with 27.40 and Jan McLuckie with 34.14.

On Sunday two members participated in the Durham Trail 10-mile race and whilst described as tough they said that they really enjoyed it and were recommending it for next year. Andrew Lumley completed this in 1:41;10 closely followed by John Heywood in 1.42.26.

Two other members attended the Daisy Dash 5k which took place in the grounds of Wynard. This had all kinds of surface but was made longer when the lead runner went the wrong way and everybody followed adding on approximately half a mile to the route! Their times for this were : Eve Doe in 41.49 and Jan McLuckie in 45.52.

There was then a very strong attendance of runners at Sunderland where they participated in both the 10k and Half Marathon races.
