A new look for Newton Aycliffe’s Number One website!

May 13th, 2015 Martin Walker Blog 0 comments 0

Editor Martin Walker explains why Newton Aycliffe’s Number One website has been given a refresh…

Aycliffe Today is now better than ever after a facelift which has made the site more visual, mobile-friendly and responsive.

And we think our colleagues at Redcore Web have done a fantastic job in giving the site a revamp.

Navigation is much more easier and there’s also more news to access direct from the home page.

We’ve colour-coded certain areas of the site – such as news, community, sport, business and features – while our latest videos and all our magazines can be also be accessed from the home page.

Other features include useful new drop-down menus when you hover over some of the news sections at the top of the home page – this enables visitors to see, at a glance, some of the most recent stories and pictures.

There are a number of other new additions to the site – have a look around, and let us know what you think!

We’re already Newton Aycliffe’s Number One website – and we have the stats to prove it.

Since launching three-and-a-half years ago, we’re now averaging 25,000 unique visitors a month and 40-50,000 page views – no other site in Newton Aycliffe gets the same results.

We achieve this by delivering real news and by producing professional content that online visitors want to read.

Across our three main platforms – www.aycliffetoday.co.uk, Aycliffe Today People and Aycliffe Today Business – we’re reaching more people than any Aycliffe-based media organisation.

Oh, and keep an eye out for Aycliffe’s only award-winning magazine – Aycliffe Today Business, issue 16 – which is out later this week.

Thanks for reading – and feel free to get in touch with us.
