One of the biggest companies in Newton Aycliffe says the people of Aycliffe Business Park hold the key to its prosperity.
Paul Stiller, managing director of Stiller Warehousing and Distribution, told Aycliffe Today that there’s a “very noticeable work ethic” in the region and that people really understand why they come to work.
Mr Stiller also insists Aycliffe Business Park has a bright future.
Speaking in a feature interview with our latest Aycliffe Today Business magazine, the boss said: “We’re committed to Aycliffe Business Park and we’re looking to expand our interests with local companies, in terms of supplying them with our services and property, and possibly investing in more property on the Park ourselves.
“It’s the second-largest industrial estate in the North-East, it has Hitachi coming to it, it’s right next to the A1, it’s very well placed in terms of its strategic position and I think it has a very bright future.
“It has a good mix of manufacturers and service industries and it has a fantastic history in terms of people and workforce.
“There’s a very noticeable work ethic in this area. People really seem to understand why they come to work and what’s required when they come to work.
“I think that’s a very important but perhaps less obvious element in the future prosperity of the Business Park.”
