By Berni Borsberry

Thirsk Falcons 1 v 5 U12 Eagles (pictured above)
A long trip to Thirsk but it was worth it as the boys played some fantastic football to take the 3 points. Goals from Brandon x 2, Jack T, Dan and Aiden Joint MOM to Brandon and Aiden

Hebburn 2 v 7 U13 Angels
Another quality performance. 2-1 at half-time but we pulled away in the second half with some good attacking football. Goals Freyja & Evie, 2 for Faith & Hannah,1 from Charli.
Players Star Freyja Coaches Star April

U13 Boys 0 v 7 Norton & Stockton
League Cup 2nd Round. 4 divisions and 43 places separated the two teams prior to kick-off. The lads really stepped it up, working fantastically as a unit and went into half-time at 0-0. In the second half Norton stepped up their game, as did the wind which was in their favour. Ultimately the better team won, but a great performance against a top team.

U14 Girls 9 v 2 Felling Magpies
Cup match against a team we played in the league just two weeks ago, but this was not so comfortable. Felling made it hard, being difficult to break down. However the Aycliffe girls upped their game second half after going in 3-1 at half time.

U14 Girls (Sunday) 12 v 3 South Moor
Tough windy conditions at the Oakleaf. The conditions were against us in the first half but we took a 5-3 lead into halftime. The game ended 12-3 as we took full control in the second with the wind behind us. Star players Demi-lee scoring 5, Megan who defended brilliantly, also goals from Faith (2), Evie H, Eveie, Safiye, Bailey & Isobel.

Rutherford 1 v 3 U14 Eagles
Playing an unbeaten side top of the division in our first cup game. The boys in blue gave everything and played some outstanding football particularly in the first half. A brilliant hat trick from Olly to take us to the next round but all the boys played a massive part in the win. MOM Olly

Guisborough 2 v 5 U16 Girls
Aycliffe started slowly in the blustery conditions going a goal down, several missed chances before Mia levelled the score with a determined run through. Second half Aycliffe started well but conceded again. Now Aycliffe really got going with goals from Leah, Mia, one froma corner from Ebony and a cracker from Mia for the hat trick.

U9 Wildcats v Bishop Auckland
Fantastic from the girls. All their recent hard work paid off. Awesome finishes from Ava to bag a hat-trick, with assists from Sophie(2) & Elsie. The midfield of Alice H, Alice R & Sophie worked their socks off. Whilst Erin, Brooke & Penny(GK) were on the top of their game

U10 Girls v Cleveland Hall
Another good win for the U10 girls, the match started slow but a cross from Poppy B landed to Emily C to find the back of the net. The game started to speed up with Poppy H pushed up from defence to striker to score a hatrick. Final goal came in the last few minutes when Poppy H managed to find Amelia, to score

U11 Wildcats v Washington
1st round of the Cup. It was a fantastic game played in the right spirit. Aycliffe scored through Lucy Grant early then Washington equalised and then took the lead. The equaliser came from Olivia Battye before Washington scored twice more before half time. A tight second half ended with 2 goals for Phoebe for 4-4. Unfortunately, The girls lost 4-1 on penalties POTM – Sophie (Parents) & Ava (Coaches)

U10 Eagles v Sunderland West End
A change of shape this week. The opposition weren’t shy in flying into challenges, but it never stopped our lads from playing our game. The defence were solid, we pressed, won the ball, passed and supported very well and after half time we got our goal. Unfortunately, we couldn’t add to it and a little mix up in the box cost us the equaliser
