YOUNGSTERS CHANCE TO VISIT STADIUM OF LIGHT!

May 25th, 2012 Martin Walker News, Sport 0 comments 0

Former Sunderland star Martin Gray will treat young footballers to a VIP tour of the Stadium of Light as part of an exciting summer coaching course next month.

The Martin Gray Football Academy (MGFA) is holding three-day courses in Newton Aycliffe and Sedgefield, culminating with a behind-the-scenes tour of Sunderland’s magnificent stadium, during the half-term break.

Youngsters will enjoy football sessions with qualified and CRB-checked coaches between 10am and 3pm on Wednesday and Thursday June 6 and 7, followed by the “access all areas” tour at the Stadium of Light on the Friday.

Gray said: “We launched something similar with a visit to Manchester United recently and the course proved massively popular, in fact we were over-subscribed.

“So we’re sure this will prove just as popular – youngsters will enjoy some fantastic professional coaching, then get a behind-the-scenes tour of one of the most state-of-the-art stadiums in the country, taking in the boardroom, the executive areas, the players’ changing rooms and tunnel followed by a “run out” on to the Sunderland pitch.

“It’ll certainly be an action-packed course, with the emphasis very much on fun, so parents are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.”

Gray, who holds the Pro Licence coaching diploma, set up MGFA in summer 2010 and now delivers the most comprehensive soccer coaching courses in the area.

The three-day course, which costs £50 per child and includes transport to Sunderland, is being held at Greenfield Community College in Newton Aycliffe and Sedgefield Community College, Wednesday-Friday June 6-8 (inclusive), 10am-3pm every day.

Booking forms and more details can be downloaded from www.martingrayfootballacademy.co.uk, or call Martin Gray on 07738 131914.
