Woodham Academy select head boy and girl for 2023-24

October 22nd, 2023 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

Woodham Academy are delighted to announce the appointment of Leo Norris and Amy Richardson as head boy and head girl.

The appointments were based on a rigorous process, following a letter of application and an interview with a range of senior staff.

The standard of applicants were exceptionally high, making the selection process difficult.

Mr Patterson, head of character and culture, said: “All of the candidates did themselves proud, demonstrating excellent leadership qualities which made the decision very difficult.

“We were very impressed with how Leo and Amy embrace being a Woodham Academy student, making the most of the opportunities that are on offer to them and represent our school values, making them ideal role models for younger students.”

Head teacher Mr Bell added: “From Year 7, Leo and Amy have embraced every aspect of the school’s ethos, demonstrating outstanding commitment and participation throughout.

“Both have shown excellent leadership qualities and dedication to all of their subjects, making them ideal role models for younger students.”

Leo and Amy will be supported in their role by Hayden Costello and Ashley Park, as deputy head boy and deputy head girl, respectively.
