Winter opening at Household Waste Recycling Centres

Household Waste Recycling Centres in County Durham have now switched to winter opening times.

From this week until the end of March, centres will be open during the following hours:

Monday to Sunday – 9am to 3.30pm
• Annfield Plain
• Heighington Lane, Newton Aycliffe
• Middleton-in-Teesdale
• Potterhouse Lane, Pity Me
• Romanway, Bishop Auckland
• Seaham
• Stainton Grove, Barnard Castle
• Tudhoe

Monday to Thursday – 10am to 4pm
Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays – 9am to 3.30pm
• Coxhoe
• Horden
• Thornley

Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays – 9am to 3.30pm
• Hett Hills, Chester-le-Street

Frosterley mobile site is open alternate Saturdays only from 9am to noon. Dates for 2019 are: 20 October; 3 and 17 November; and 1, 15 and 29 December.

All Household Waste Recycling Centres will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
