August 27th, 2019 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

PCP and County & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust team braved the rain, to take on their biggest fundraising challenge so far Yorkshire Three peaks challenge to fundraise for PCP’s Hydrotherapy Pool campaign ‘Dive In!’.

When Donna Kelly, senior wellbeing practitioner of Wellbeing for Life, floated the idea with her colleagues, earlier this year, none of them could predict the weather, however the team pulled together and completed the walk in under 12 hours, despite the downpour. The team raised an amazing £496.57 so far.

Donna said: “This challenge was a lot harder than we all thought! But we prepared well and were really excited.

“We worked as a team and support each other so much and making each other laugh even when we were struggling for breath! It was a massive accomplishment for all of us!”

PCP chief executive Carol Gaskarth said: “We are thrilled that team completed this challenge on behalf of the Dive In Campaign.

“It has been amazing to see how are staff have come together to raise awareness and fundraise on behalf of PCP.

“Our hydrotherapy pool is now 20-years-old and requires a complete needs a refurbishment.
