Wedding Fair debut for Aycliffe couple

January 11th, 2018 Martin Walker News 0 comments 0

A couple from Newton Aycliffe have organised their first wedding fair, due to be held at Bishop Auckland Rugby Club.

During their three years in charge at Bishop’s rugby club, Newtonians Dan Lewis and Donna Bell have overseen a modernisation programme, reigniting the club’s events and functions calendar after overhauling its main function room.

Now the ambitious pair are planning to host the first wedding fair at the club in the hope of attracting local couples to take a look at what the affordable venue can offer.

Events manager Donna said: “Our wedding bookings have exceeded previous years. We are becoming a modern, flexible and affordable local option for couples from not only Bishop Auckland and surrounding areas, but also Ferryhill and Newton Aycliffe.

“The fair is an opportunity for those planning their big day to see how our function room can look and how we can make use of our outside space.”

Dan, who spent a number of years as general manager at Newton Aycliffe Football Club, added: “We have a number of local suppliers also lined up on the day to help with all those extra touches to make your day special.”

The Wedding Fair will take place on Saturday February 3, 11am–4pm. Visitors will receive a glass of prosecco and a welcome pack on arrival.
