Upcoming free courses at the Pioneering Care Centre

The Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe is the Hub for the Colour your Life project which provides access to creative and informal learning activities for the improvement of mental health and the development of emotional resilience.

Details of free courses are as follows:

Dig-in Gardening – Mondays 10am – 12noon (ongoing through till Autumn) Learn about and take part in wildlife and flower gardening and growing your own vegetables

Learn to Sing – An informal singing course to develop your vocal range, discover you can sing or gain confidence & performance skills. Starts Monday 1 June 13.00–15.00 for 10 weeks

Live Life to the Full – Motivational and mood boosting tips on how you can make real & meaningful changes to your life. Starts Wednesday 17 June 10.00–12.00 for 10 weeks

Pottery – Learn pottery throwing, sculpting, clay modelling and glazing techniques.
Starts Thursday 18 June 10.00–12.00 for 10 weeks

Colour & Gemstone Therapy – Learn about the energies and healing properties of multi- coloured crystals, minerals and gemstones. Starts Saturday 4 July, 9.30–12.30 for 5 weeks

• DIY for beginners
• Papercraft

PCP uses professional experienced tutors to deliver these stimulating and inspiring activities. The Colour your Life team are currently looking for someone to deliver the DIY for beginners course. If you are a qualified tutor and interested in delivering for the Colour your Life programme please get in touch.
