Five Picks of the Week

Jamie’s Summer Food Rave Up: Monday 8:30pm, Channel 4.
The last of the series sees famous chef Jamie Oliver make chilli and Moroccan lamb burgers as he aims to add a little bit of summer spice to his show.

Line of Duty: Tuesday 9pm, BBC2.
In the penultimate episode of the police drama, Fleming goes to worrying lengths to earn Gates’ trust as she attempts to resolve the anti-corruption investigation. Will she manage to do all this without arousing any suspicion though?

Victoria Pendleton: Cycling’s Golden Girl: Wednesday 9pm, BBC1.
With the London Olympics getting even closer, this programme profiles the world and Olympic champion sprint cyclist as she gives the viewers a rare insight into what it takes to succeed at such a high level. Pendleton reveals the sacrifices she must make to be the best cyclist she can possibly be.

Natural World: Living With Baboons: Thursday 8pm, BBC2.
This revealing documentary focuses on biologist Mat Pines who lived alongside baboons in Ethiopia as part of a study. Pines endeavoured to form a greater understanding of the primates and they responded by even picking the nits from his hair.

Phil Spencer: Secret Agent: Friday 8pm, Channel 4.
New series which sees Phil Spencer return to try and get Britain’s property market moving again. He begins the series in Glasgow, where he tries to find buyers for two pricey properties.

Coronation Street sees Simon put in an awful situation this week as he is told to decide whether he wants to go away with Peter and Carla on their sailing adventure or stay with Leanne. Whatever decision he makes, someone’s heart will be broken.
In Emmerdale, Laurel drops a bombshell this week as she tells Marlon that she loves him. With Marlon all set to move to New Zealand with Paddy and Rhona, so he can be with his son Leo, the chef certainly has a tough decision to make.
In Eastenders, with their baby Scarlett still fighting for her life, Janine asks Michael to be there for her more as she struggles to keep her emotions in check. Will Michael step up to the plate though?
