THE TOWN TIPSTER

March 10th, 2012 Martin Walker Features, News 1 comments 0

Aycliffe’s top tipster shares his two top tips of the day, as he takes on the bookmakers…

Racing
3.15 Sandown
JOHNS SPIRIT (each way), 25/1 at Ladbrokes
AP McCoy takes this ride for Jonjo O’Neill, after a four race absence from the saddle which saw this five-year-old maintain his record of never being out of the top three. A drop in weight compensates for the better runners in this field, but ‘The Champ’ will be looking to keep up his record of also never saddling this promising gelding to a finish outside of the top three. Two miles is this fella’s favoured distance and we fully expect him to be challenging the front four places which Ladbrokes are offering each way punters.

Football
3pm, Saturday
WOLVES and BLACKBURN to DRAW, 23/10 at Ladbrokes
After last week’s away day success, we change tact and opt to sit on the fence this week as Blackburn travel to the Midlands to face a Wolves side licking their wounds after another heavy defeat last weekend. Despite a creditable 2-2 draw at Newcastle in Terry Connor’s first game in charge, the honeymoon was short lived, as Wanderers came crashing back to earth with a 5-0 warming at Fulham. Rovers are just ahead of Connor’s men on goal difference, and with one away victory all season – but what a place to get it…Old Trafford! Despite this, Rovers have shipped 10 goals in their last two away games. A tight relegation battle, which neither side can afford to lose. And neither will!

    I would challange both tips.
After Jonjo recent proformances, I would not be backing any of his stable, even each way.
I would expect Wolves to beat Blackburn quite easily.
Lets see whos Aycliffe’s Top Tipster.
