SURE SHOTS ROCK SPORTS CLUB!

April 16th, 2012 Martin Walker Music, News 0 comments 0

Aycliffe Sports Club was bouncing again on Saturday night as another sell-out audience enjoyed a live music gig.

Newcastle-based band the Sure Shots had revellers on their feet with a brilliant string of rockabilly numbers.

Made up of lead Gary Allen, Joe Guillan on guitar, Mark Coppin on drums and Pete Hardy on bass, the Sports Club function was packed out as they performed well-known Rock n Roll and Blues anthems by the likes of Elvis, Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Johnny Burnette, Carl Perkins and Roy Orbison, to name just a few.

“It was another cracking night!” said organiser Shaun Saunders.

“Our regular live entertainment gigs are becoming more and more popular, and this was another sell-out – everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the Sure Shots were superb!”
