‘Successful businesses power our economy’ says awards sponsor Ebac

April 25th, 2022 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

The founder of one of Newton Aycliffe’s biggest companies says business awards events play a key role in driving the region’s economy.

Ebac founding chairman John Elliott MBE is keen to see local firms succeed, which is the driving force behind him supporting Aycliffe Business Park’s Make Your Mark awards.

His firm is one of several high-profile names to back the 2022 Make Your Mark awards, in association with Husqvarna.

Ebac are supporting the awards by sponsoring the Environment award – joining headline sponsors Husqvarna and category sponsors Gestamp, Stiller, Business Durham, Think Kudos, Jacksons Law Firm and Richardson Barberry, the team behind the Forrest Park development.

The sponsors will hand out eight awards at a glamorous ceremony – organised by Aycliffe Business Park Community (ABPC) – at Redworth Hall Hotel on Friday, May 20.

“We are very pleased to support the Make Your Mark awards,” said John, pictured above with ABPC business development manager Martin Walker.

“This is another signal of returning to normality, but it’s also important to recognise the depth of activities on Aycliffe Business Park, because it is successful businesses that power the economy.”

Ebac are market leaders in the production of domestic dehumidifiers and water coolers, and also brought washing machine manufacturing back to the UK.

John added: “We’ve had a few challenges of our own in recent years, which is why it’s even more important that we get together and celebrate each other’s achievements.”

ABPC’s Martin Walker said: “John is a big supporter of what we’re trying to do and has become a regular at our news and networking events.

“It’s fantastic that someone of John’s standing is supporting the Make Your Mark awards, and that he recognises the importance of them.”

Tickets for the awards ceremony cost £75 (+vat), which includes a welcome glass of prosecco, reception pictures, a 3-course meal with table wine, a commemorative programme and the awards presentation.

They can be ordered online here: https://aycliffebusinesspark.co.uk/awards/#tickets-wrapper or by emailing [email protected].
