Students get a lesson in professional boxing

February 11th, 2016 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

Woodham Academy students had the opportunity to train with World Champion Boxer and local man, Stuart Hall, when they attended their boxing lesson last week.

The students who attend the weekly sessions at Seconds Out gym in Ferryhill were delighted to find that the Darlington fighter was also attending the gym at the same time.

The former International Boxing Federation Bantamweight Champion was more than happy to speak to the Woodham Academy Boxing students about his career and offer tips and advice on health, training and development.

PE Teacher Liam Clough said: “It was fantastic for the students to be able to meet a professional. They loved watching him train and I think it has really inspired them to have that same determination and drive for a career.”
