March 1st, 2017 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

The stage is set for Aycliffe Business Park’s third annual Make Your Mark awards event.

More than 250 people will gather for the award-giving bash at the Xcel Centre tonight (Wednesday March 1).

For the first time, the available tickets for Make Your Mark – organised and promoted by the not-for-profit Aycliffe Business Park Community Ltd – have sold out.

Guests this evening will enjoy a champagne reception followed by a three-course meal with complementary wine.

High-profile entrepreneurs Peter Wilcock and Andy Preston will deliver keynote speeches in between courses before the awards are dished out for 11 categories.

We’ll then find out who will succeed Finley Structures as Aycliffe’s Company of the Year, with Baltic Training Services, Raisco and PWS the shortlisted candidates for the top gong.

The awards up for grabs on Wednesday night include Apprentice of the Year (Sponsored by Crafter’s Companion), Apprenticeships (Sponsored by Gestamp Tallent), Company of the Year (Sponsored by Finley Structures and SCH Site Services), Employer of the Year (Sponsored by NBSL), Engineering & Manufacturing (Sponsored by Business Durham), Export (Sponsored by the Department for International Trade), Heart of the Community (Sponsored by Star Radio), Innovation (Sponsored by Endeavour Partnership), Newcomer of the Year (Sponsored by Ebac), Service Business of the Year (Sponsored by the Xcel Centre), Small Business of the Year (Sponsored by South Durham Enterprise Agency).

We’ll bring you exclusive reaction to the Make Your Mark ceremony on Thursday and Friday.
