The first team had an excellent seven-wicket home win against Northallerton 1st XI in the first ever meeting between the teams. Luke Telford (sponsored Phoenix Energy) was given the man of the match award for some superb left arm spin bowling finishing with 6 for 26, which was his best bowling figures for 3 years. Credit must also go to opener Joe Haines, who hit a brilliant 52 form 60 balls, including eight boundaries and a very sweetly struck six in the Aycliffe reply. After four league games, Aycliffe have won two and lost two games and sit in mid table with 51 points.
