School’s exam results a work of art

September 28th, 2018 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

Woodham Academy’s art department has built on the success of last year’s high results by gaining record results in 2018.

Woodham’s Art results were amongst the highest in the county and were 12% above the national average in the subject.

Not only were the results amazing, but the standard of the work was of the highest quality. The end of year Art exhibition attracted a large crowd who were all amazed by the standard of the work.

The work showed skill in many different mediums and many pieces of the work sold, earning the students a decent income to see them through the school holidays.

The school said: “The exceptionally high grades of the students, five of who gained a grade 9 (4.3% above national average) was down to both the dedication and hard work of both staff and students who worked diligently throughout the two-year course during lessons, at home and during after school enrichment sessions.”

The gallery exhibiting this incredible art work is still available to view upon request.
