Roman supports Aycliffe lad Jenson to compete in Thailand

August 9th, 2023 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

Newton Aycliffe firm Roman is helping a local Thai boxer to compete in Thailand.

Through the County Durham Community Foundation, shower manufacturer Roman is helping Newtonian Jenson Blair-Hayman compete in the Muay Thai World Championships in Thailand.

Roman has supported the CDCF for over 15 years and says it has sponsored many local people, initiatives and charities over the years.

The Aycliffe Business Park firm is now sponsoring 11-year-old Jenson, who won his first Muay Thai tournament at five-years-old and has since trained six days a week at the Phoenix Thai boxing club in Shildon.

Roman’s chief operations officer John Wright said: “We’re very closely engaged with our local community and are constantly assisting the local community.

“When we heard about Jenson we were thrilled to have such a talented young man in the community and keen to help him take this next step and wish him every good luck in the World Championships in Thailand.”
