Newton Aycliffe online homewares retailer Roman at Home is supporting a local fundraising team by donating an auction prize to raise money for Children with Cancer charity.

Roman at Home is the sister company of Roman, based on Aycliffe Business Park, which is a family-owned business which regularly supports local charities.

When Roman at Home heard about a team of local runners undertaking various sporting events such as the London Marathon and also holding a Spring Ball at Rockcliffe Hall, Hurworth, to raise funds for the Children with Cancer charity the company wanted to help them beat their impressive target of £12,000, which they raised last year.

Roman at Home has donated a generous gift box which includes an assortment of products from their extensive collection of homewares to be auctioned off at the black tie event, where there are planned to be 150 attendees.

Managing director David Osborne said: “We saw this as a great cause and wanted to get involved and support the charity for Children with Cancer.”
