Ready, steady, cook! Callout to support community Garden Kitchen

July 12th, 2022 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

The Pioneering Care Centre in Newton Aycliffe is appealing for volunteers to support its Garden Kitchen Coffee Shop.

Used by local people, groups and organisations, new volunteers will help a café at the heart of the community.

Gail Anderson, centre lead at the PCC, said: “It’s an exciting time to join our Garden Kitchen as a volunteer, with a new menu featuring tempting dishes offering an opportunity to learn from our team.

“The Garden Kitchen offers a safe space to relax and unwind, with many customers visiting to enjoy a coffee, chat and attend a group or service at the PCC.”

The Pioneering Care Centre is a health and wellbeing hub delivering services that support communities to thrive, including fitness classes, a walking group, therapy sessions and more.

To find out more on how to become a Garden Kitchen volunteer, visit www.pcp.uk.net/volunteer, email [email protected] or call 01325 321234 for an informal chat.
