March 23rd, 2022 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

A resilience building service has launched in County Durham to give communities support to move forward.

The dedicated County Durham Covid-19 Resilience Team connect with people struggling with the devastating effects of the pandemic, including those suffering from increased anxiety, isolation, loss of loved ones and more.

Donna Sheavills, project lead of the County Durham Covid-19 Resilience Team, said: “Lockdowns have been tough for us all, with many of us facing a new normal way of living, with home working and uncertainty of changes to our lives.

“Our team can give you a helping hand to manage your mental health. We listen to your needs, as all of our support is tailored to suit your individual goals. If you, or someone you know needs our help, get in touch.”

Available to everyone living or working in County Durham, the dedicated team also continue to support community keyworkers, and want to reach out to people in similar roles that may be suffering in silence.

The service is funded by the NHS Durham, Darlington and Teesside Mental health and Learning Disability Partnership to offer COVID specific health and wellbeing support through a partnership of the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP), Northern Learning Trust, East Durham Trust, Upper Teesdale Agricultural Support Services (UTASS) and Home Group.

If you are struggling with the emotional and wellbeing effects of Covid-19, email [email protected].
