Pioneering Care Partnership achieves Disability Confident Leader status

September 11th, 2025 Martin Walker Community 0 comments 0

Health and wellbeing charity, Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) has announced its accreditation as a Disability Confident Leader, a significant milestone in its commitment to inclusion and accessibility for all.

This recognition affirms PCP’s dedication to creating a workplace where people living with a disability and those with long-term health conditions can thrive. PCP’s Disability Leader status included implementing inclusive recruitment practices and offering tailored workplace adjustments.

By stepping up to Disability Confident Leader status from Disability Confident Employer, PCP sets a benchmark within its own organisation as well as supporting disability inclusion across the wider community.

The journey involved external validation of PCP’s practices and a clear demonstration of leadership in promoting disability confidence.

Sandra Roberts, governance and development manager said: “Achieving Disability Confident Leader status is a proud moment for all of us at PCP.

“It reflects our ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

“With 55% of our workforce having either a disability, long-term health condition, neurodiversity, or mental health condition – we’re passionate about breaking down barriers and leading by example, this accreditation shows that we’re not just talking about change, we’re making it happen.

“Through partnerships with local employers and community organisations, PCP is helping to embed inclusive practices across the region, that support employees and their workplace health and wellbeing through the Better Health at Work Award.

“PCP invites other organisations to join the Disability Confident movement and is proud to offer support and validation as part of our ongoing commitment to the award.”

This recognition highlights PCP’s dedication to fostering a culture of equality, removing barriers to employment, and supporting individuals to reach their full potential.

As a Disability Confident Leader, PCP is now positioned to inspire and support other organisations in embracing inclusive practices, driving positive change, and building a better future for all.
