NEWTONIAN OPENS NEW BUSINESS IN SHILDON

March 22nd, 2012 Martin Walker Business 0 comments 0

In difficult times, with economic uncertainty in abundance, the news of a new business venture is music to the ears.

When Newtonian Andrew Corry decided to unlock his entrepreneurial spirit, after formative years as a buyer with a specialist subcontractor in the construction sector, what better way to launch a new business than hone the skills and contacts built up over a decade in the industry?

With that in mind Single Source Supply became a reality with some of the premier construction material and service brands coming on board to form an impressive supply chain which includes Kingspan Insulation, Kingspan Insulated Panels, Brett Martin, Hunter Plastics, Hire Station, CA Group and Easigrass.

The supply chain is key to providing the capability of offering a complete supply package of products and services to the Construction, Building Trades, DIY, Industrial and Commercial sectors.

Director Andrew Corry said: “We have worked hard to establish a blue chip supply chain and we are now in a position to provide our customers with material supplies, plant and tool hire as well as outsourced purchasing support.”

Renewable energy company, Revolution Power of Newton Aycliffe, became the first customer with the supply of Kingspan Kooltherm K3 Floorboard Insulation for the Bewley School contract in Billingham.

Managing director Wayne Richardson (pictured with Mr Corry) said: “We are pleased to have Single Source Supply on board as a supplier.

“If we have problems finding or no time to look for products, we know a call to Single Source Supply will speed up the process. They have effectively become an extension of our own procurement function.”

From their base on Dabble Duck Industrial Estate in Shildon, County Durham, Single Source Supply aim to become the single source of supply to their chosen market sectors in the North East of England and the rest of the UK.

As they grow Single Source Supply are committed to creating jobs and employing locally.
