Rockliffe Hall has recruited a new corporate sales and events executive to focus on further enhancing relationships with local companies and securing new business.

Angela Lowe, from Newton Aycliffe, joins the five red star resort’s sales and marketing team with almost 30 years of hospitality industry and sales experience.

Her key roles at the hotel, golf and spa resort in Hurworth, near Darlington, will be to develop links with businesses to secure revenue through conferences, events, corporate accommodation and golf days.

Angela spent 11 years at Headlam Hall working in various areas of the business including spa manager, operations manager and assistant manager.

She was also operations manager at Houndgate Townhouse in Darlington, overseeing the entire operations of the boutique eight bedroomed hotel.

“I’m thrilled to be joining a resort as beautiful as Rockliffe Hall,” said Angela.

“Having worked in operations at other properties, leading from the top, I was keen to take my career in a direction where I could get out there and be more proactive, gaining and supporting local and regional business within a five star sales creative role.”

Gemma Pott, business development manager at Rockliffe Hall, added: “We are delighted to welcome Angela to the sales and marketing team.

“Her experience working at other high-quality hotels in the local area means she’s the perfect person to help build and further enhance relationships with businesses in the region.”
