November 14th, 2023 Martin Walker News 0 comments 0

Teesside University’s London campus is now complete and was showcased to potential students during an open day for those looking to study in the capital.

Several hundred students are now studying at Teesside University London, with a fresh intake enrolling this month.

And, this week, visitors were invited to an open day to find out more about the academic offer and meet some of the students who are already settling into their studies.

Teesside University London, based at Here East, is bringing in-demand subjects to new markets, with an initial focus on digital technologies and enterprise.

The range of innovative and flexible degree and master’s courses includes animation, gaming, visual effects, business, and computer science degrees.

The new campus – designed by renowned architects Hawkins Brown and design and build contractors Maris Brown Interiors – is a modern facility which was planned and designed with employers at the forefront, providing an environment where industry and academia can come together in a professional setting.

The largely open plan setting of Teesside University London campus features a variety of spaces which provide a professional environment for students, staff and partners.

Professor Craig Gaskell, pro vice-chancellor for enterprise and knowledge exchange at Teesside University, said: “We have placed great emphasis on engaging with employers and industry to ensure we provide a learning environment which enables our students to make a positive impact and thrive in the workplace.

“Teesside University London provides a gateway for our students to access the many networks and opportunities which are available in the capital, enhancing our ability to create new opportunities for business and industry engagement.”

Kathryn Elliott, head of partnerships at Teesside University London, added: “We are absolutely delighted with the space at Teesside University London and the feedback we have received so far has been incredible.

“Students are thriving in this environment and it was a pleasure to be able to welcome so many more potential students to our campus and showcase this fantastic new learning space.”

Teesside University London reinforces the University’s mission to transform lives and economies through education enriched by research, innovation, and engagement with business and the professions.
