NAFC Junior section round-up

Under 8’s Reds – Faced Redcar Athletic in an end of season friendly at Green Lane. It was a brilliant game enjoyed by all, with a new kick in rule introduced, which threw all of guard but was fun to watch. Thomas scored a goal, set up by a great run by Oliver.

Under 8’s Whites – Played Escomb Saxons with seven players available and worked hard against a good team with Jacob scoring. Louie won opposition coaches MOTM and Michael getting parents MOTM.

Under 11’s Whites – Enjoyed an eight goal thriller against foundation of light. MOTM was Harry.

Under 12’s Whites – Entertained Hylton, with Aycliffe starting the game well with some superb defending, creating numerous chances without scoring. Into the second half Aycliffe conceded two. MOTM was Tyler.

Under 12’s Whites – Played at home against league leaders Hartlepool, who were unbeaten in their last 15 games. Aycliffe lost the game 3-1, but battled hard throughout with MOTM Lucas scoring the goal.

Under 12’s Whites – Faced Foundation Of Light at Woodham today and bounced back with an emphatic 7-1 win. Goals from Maxi (2), James (2), Jack, Ethan, and Oliver. MOTM was awarded to the whole team.

Under 12’s Juniors – Played Peterlee in a friendly with debuts for a couple of new signings. Aycliffe were 3-0 up in the first 10 minutes, putting pressure on for the full half, and looking solid all over the pitch and going into half time 6-0 up. In the second Aycliffe took their foot off the gas, eventually winning 9-2. The goals were scored by Jonah (4), Dan (2), Dom, Phoebe and Lucas on his debut. MOTM was shared between the full team.

Under 12’s Blacks – Played Wear United in a good game of end to end football from two evenly matched teams. Both sides had their chances and a 2-2 draw was a fair result with Connor and Harry scoring the goals. MOTM was Cody who worked really hard in defence. Olly M worked hard in midfield.

Under 15’s Blacks – Hosted Gateshead Performance Whites, Aycliffe trailed at half time with Zak scoring the goal. Kayden scored the equaliser, then there was an OG scored before Keaton scored Aycliffe’s fourth to grab the win. MOTM was Danny.

Under 16’s Blacks – Played with only 11 players available. Despite trailing 3-1 down at half time, Aycliffe turned it around to win 5-3. Goals from Isaac 2, Will, Moore and OG. MOTM was Isaac.
