NAFC Junior Section round-up

A round-up of football from Newton Aycliffe Junior Section…

Under 7’s – Travelled to Marton, who scored early, but Aycliffe did not let their heads drop and went on to dominate the game with goals from Joey (2), Theo, Lewis, and Cooper.

Under 8’s Whites – Played Washington Athletic Santos in what was a very tight game with a goal from Oscar.

Under 8’s Reds – Faced Billingham Juniors and put in an impressive performance with a goal from Kian which was enough to earn him opposition managers MOTM. The teams MOTM was awarded to Orig for this performance in goal.

Under 8’s Juniors – Played North Ormesby in a fantastic match, Aycliffe stuck to their game plan playing some great passing football and clinical finishing. The goals were scored by Linc (3), Felix K (3), Reuben (2), Colton, and Felix C. MOTM went to Linc for good organisation and hard work.

Under 9’s – Put in an impressive performance against Billingham Juniors with Goalkeeper Harvey scoring form the halfway line. Further goals were scored by Oliver from the penalty spot and Noah. A wonderful team performance with MOTM going to goalkeeper Harvey who made some fantastic saves as well as scoring.

Under 10’s – Played against Stockton Town and after a slow start they implemented their attacking game with goals coming from Jayden, Charlie, Koa, and a Stockton Town own goal.

Under 10’s Blacks – Played in the sunshine against Hartlepool FC and got a great result. After working tirelessly, it was JJ and Grayson who scored the goals. POTM was awarded to Grayson by opposition for tireless running all game.

Under 11’s Whites – Had an eventful game away to Durham United Tigers, with goals galore. Kai scored a hat-trick and there were further goals for Ethan, Oscar, and Bradley. MOTM was Luca who stepped up to play in goal and was excellent.

Under 11’s Blacks – Entertained Thirsk, after a tough start, Aycliffe got themselves into the game with goals from Max and a superb hat-trick from Tyler. MOTM was shared between the whole team.

Under 12’s Blacks – Played against Waldridge in windy conditions. Waldridge opened the scoring before Connor equalising with a cracking goal. Further goals from Jack and Lucas on his debut seen Aycliffe lead 3-1 at the break. Oliver scored before Waldridge grabbed a consolation goal to give Aycliffe a 4-2 win. MOTM was shared between Jake and Cody, both had great games in defence.

Under 12’s Juniors – Lost 6-4 in a ten-goal thriller at home to Kader. It was a hard-fought game with some great play but was not to be Aycliffe’s day. The goals were scored by Shay and a hat-trick from MOTM Jonah.

Under 13’s – Had a top of the table clash away to Kader, who could not cope with Aycliffe’s pressing and high tempo which resulted in a 5-1 win. The goals were scored by Grayson (2), Oscar M, Rhys, and Oscar J. MOTM was Sam.

Under 15’s Blacks – Travelled to face Felling Magpie Whites, who took an early lead before Aycliffe took control of the game, eventually running out 4-2 winners. In a wonderful team performance, Jayden (2), Leon, and Zak scored the goals. MOTM was Danny.

Under 15’s Whites – Made the short trip to face Darlington 21st Allstars Colts, Aycliffe only had eleven available players, but all were superb. Aycliffe were clinical on the counterattack with two goals from Tom, to lead 2-0 at half-time. Jayden scored the vital third goal to give Aycliffe the 3-0 win. MOTM was captain Josh. Unfortunately, the result was overshadowed by an injury to Danny which sees him require surgery and missing the rest of the season.

Under 16’s Blacks – Travelled to Boldon with only ten players available it was going to be a tough day. An injury ended up with the Aycliffe centre back playing in goal for the last thirty minutes. Eventually Boldon run out 4-1 winners with Aycliffe’s goal coming from Will. MOTM was Kai.

Under 16’s Whites – Were edged out 2-1 away at Hartlepool FC. Aycliffe took the lead when Jake scored with a great finish from outside the box, but Aycliffe unfortunately we ran out of steam in the second half and Hartlepool scored twice. MOTM was shared between Harvey and Jake.
