NAFC Junior Section round-up

A round-up of football from Newton Aycliffe Junior Section.

Under 7’s – Travelled to Bishop Auckland St Marys, it was a game full of goals. Archie scored wonderful goal directly from a goal kick, with the other goals came from Harry and Alfie.

Under 8’s Whites – Played against Leam Rangers, in a tough game for Aycliffe, James and Seb scored the goals, with both the parents and opposition manager awarding James the MOTM.

Under 8’s Whites – Played Belmont United Eagles, with only five players available. Goals coming from Louie and James. MOTM was awarded to Louie from the opposition and Cody from the parents.

Under 8’s Juniors – Played against Billingham Junior Lions, playing fast paced football closing every ball and not giving the opposition any time on the ball. Both goalkeepers played a massive part with fantastic shot stopping and distribution. Goals were scored by Felix K (4), Colton (3), Lincoln and Reuben. MOTM went to Felix K for fantastic pressing football.

Under 9’s – Played against Richmond Town, it was a tight game with Aycliffe’s goal coming through Noah. In the development game, Aycliffe played very well with Eddie grabbing the goal. MOTM Harvey who made a great triple save.

Under 10’s Reds – Played Redcar Athletic Blues v Aycliffe. In an exciting game full of goals, Joseph grabbed two goals, Andrew scored a hat-trick and Olly P scored the final goal. MOTM was birthday boy Jenson in goal.

Under 11’s Whites – Were away to Brandon Community Youth Whites, coming away with a great result. Aycliffe dominated the game, with both goals coming from Kai before half time. MOTM was Willam R.

Under 11’s Blacks – Hosted Eaglescliffe Elementis Blues, Aycliffe went in at the break with two goals scored by Fin, and a superb free kick from Tyler, who then converted a penalty for his second. MOTM was Kai who was a real threat going forward down the right and worked hard throughout.

Under 12’s Whites – Travelled to Sunderland Foundation of Light, Aycliffe were outstanding, coming away 4-1 winners. Tyler helped himself to a brace, with Max L and Oliver getting the other goals. MOTM was Tyler and Serge.

Under 12’s Juniors – Played Shincliffe Juniors, who took the lead, before Dom smashed the ball home to equalise. In a tough second half, Aycliffe did not let their heads drop and after lovely play from Dom, he set up Jonah to score. Opposition POTM went to Jonah, always dangerous when he is on the ball. POTM went to Dom, fantastic skill, great running all game, a goal, and an assist.

Under 13’s – Entertained FC Hartlepool Red’s, Aycliffe controlled most of the game but could not find a way past the Hartlepool goalkeeper. Trent made a wonderful save, before Sam grabbed a late winner for Aycliffe to give them a 1-0 win. MOTM was Tyler.

Under 15’s Blacks – Played Hexham Celtic in the 4th round of the cup. Jayden scored for Aycliffe who went in level at the break. Into the second half Aycliffe could not keep quite get the result, exiting the cup against strong opposition.

Under 15’s Whites – Took all three points at home to Riverside Juniors in their best performance so far this season. Noah opened the scoring, before Riverside equalised. It was Tom who was the eventual match winner in a 2-1 win. MOTM was Noah for his vision, passing and creativity in midfield.

Under 16’s Whites – Played Middleton, in a game of football which ended in a 3-3 draw. Aycliffe led 2-0 and 3-2 but could not hold on for the three points. Mckenze grabbed himself a wonderful hat-trick. Jack and Kenzie were awarded MOTM.

Under 16’s – Got a great 4-3 win against Riverside Blues, Aycliffe led on four occasions. In a good contest, the goals were scored by Reuben (2), Alex and Will. MOTM was Harry T.
