A round-up of football from Newton Aycliffe Junior Section.

Under 7’s – Hosted Seaton Carew Lions in their first ever league game. In a game full of goals, all players enjoyed the game. Goals from Harry (3), Mathew and Alfie.

Under 8’s Whites – Played against Belmont United Hawks, in an exciting game it was Louis who set up Seb to score first, then grabbing himself a goal. MOTM was Seb on his fist competitive game for Aycliffe.

Under 8’s Junior – Were away to Norton and Stockton Ambers, in a very entertaining game, Aycliffe scored through Colton (4), Lincoln (3), Reuben (3), Zack & Felix K. MOTM went to Lincoln and Colton for great link up play and great finishing in front of goal.

Under 9’s – Played against Linthorpe Academicals, in a positive start Taylor scored assisted by Broadie. Aycliffe then scored two incredibly good goals in the space of five minutes from Noah with the second being assisted by Eddie, Harvey scored next, before William scored assisted by George. Eddie added onto the scoresheet in a particularly superior performance. MOTM was Harvey for his hard work and ability to take defenders on.

Under 10’s Blacks – Entertained FC Hartlepool Whites, sharing the spoils in an incredibly competitive game. Jarrod scored Aycliffe’s first goal with some great individual skill, into the second half Alfie S scored a wonderful team goal. MOTM was Hughie W for his composed defending.

Under 10’s Reds – Played against Kader, in an exciting game, Aycliffe got the breakthrough from Marshall, before Koa set up Joseph, before Koa grabbed a brace for himself. MOTM was Jenson with some outstanding goalkeeping.

Under 11’s Blacks – Travelled to Eaglescliffe Blues, scoring early when Tyler converted a penalty. Matty was having a great game in goal, then two quick goals from Tyler completed his hat-trick, before Fin scored. MOTM was Fin, two assists, some great attacking play, and a lovely, lobbed goal.

Under 11’s Whites – Played Brandon Community Youth Blues, in a tough game, Aycliffe took their time to start playing and after some good passing, Arran scored a goal. MOTM was Lucas.

Under 12’s Juniors – Entertained Riverside Junior Oranges, Aycliffe trailed early before Phoebe Set up Jonah to score. Jonah then returned the favour to Phoebe setting her up to scoring a late goal. MOTM was Jensen in goal for some brilliant saves.

Under 12’s Blacks – Entertained Gateshead Juniors, losing out to the odd goal in a nine-goal thriller. Goals from Connor (2), Rhys, and Benjamin. MOTM was Cody in defence.

Under 13’s – Entertained Norton & Stockton, coming away with a great 3-1 win with goals from Layton, Rhys, and Tyler. MOTM was Layton.

Under 14’s – Travelled to Billingham Juniors, Aycliffe started very well and controlled most of the first half, and a fantastic corner from Dan found Ethan who headed it into the top corner. Aycliffe could not hold onto the lead, conceding two goals. MOTM was Ethan.

Under 15’s Whites – Were at home to Darlington 21st All Stars Colts. Aycliffe scored in the second half through Henry to earn a 1-1 draw. MOTM was Lewis for his great defending.

Under 15’s Blacks – Travelled to face Seaton Carew Lions, trailing 2-0 at the break Aycliffe come out fighting with Jake scoring, before Danny set up Zak to header the equaliser home. Seaton Carew retook the lead, before Danny scored to make the game 3-3. MOTM was Danny.
