A round-up of this week’s football from Newton Aycliffe Junior Section.

Under 7’s Whites – Played against Hilda Park, in a remarkably close game. Louie scored Aycliffe’s goal. MOTM selected by the parents was Louie and MOTM from the players was James.

Under 7’s Reds – Faced Boro Rangers Blacks, performing very well. Oscar and Kian scored the goals. MOTM went to Thomas who battled bravely in Midfield.

Under 7’s Juniors – Played against North Ormesby, Aycliffe played very well and scored goals through Reign, Reuben, Felix K and Lincoln. MOTM was Lincoln for strong tackling and hard work.

Under 9’s – Played against Prissick and scored two great goals through Joseph. MOTM was awarded to Jenson who made some fantastic saves.

Under 10’s Blacks – Hosted Bedale Juniors and after a tough first half, Aycliffe woke up and started to play football, with Fin scoring two goals. MOTM was Fin who took both goals well worked hard throughout.

Under 10’s Whites – Played Hilda Park FC in a tough game, Lucas made some wonderful saves in goal. MOTM was Oscar who played very well, out of position.

Under 11’s Blacks – Played against Crook and come away with a great result, goals scored by Rhys and Benjamin. MOTM was Charlie-John for his arduous work and dedication.

Under 11’s Juniors – Travelled to Eaglescliffe in what was a brilliant game of football. Goals coming from Jonah & Dom whose effort was a contender for goal of the season. POTM was shared between Jensen, Jonah, Sammy, & Dom.

Under 12’s – Travelled to TIBS, coming away with a wonderful 5-3 victory. Goals were scored by Zac, Alex, Layton, & Evan (2). MOTM was Sam.

Under 13’s – Travelled to Billingham Juniors, despite dominating sections of the game, Aycliffe could not get the result they wanted. Callum was the goal scorer with a fantastic header. MOTM was Logan, despite carrying a knee injury.

Under 14’s Blacks – Travelled to face Felling Magpie Whites, despite trailing Aycliffe were not deterred and Adam scored a fantastic header. Aycliffe continued to press, with Jake converting a late penalty. MOTM was shared between Harry, Danny, and Jake.

Under 14’s Whites – Got back to winning ways at home to TIBS Girls. It was 2-2 at the break with both goals coming from Henry, Aycliffe went on to finish the job with the winner coming from Tom. MOTM was Henry who was strong and determined on the left side of midfield.

Under 15’s Blacks – Ran out 2-1 winners over Haydon Bridge, with goals coming from Isaac M and Will, sealing a massive win for Aycliffe. MOTM was Ollie L.

Under 15’s Reds – Were edged out 4-3 in seven goal thriller against Great Ayton. Goals coming from Harry C, Will, and Alex. MOTM went to George.

Under 15’s Whites – Drew 3-3 away at TIBS, with only eleven players available the full team worked hard to earn the point. Goals from Josh (2), and Mason. MOTM was shared between Josh and Liam.

Under 17’s – Entertained Shotton Colts. Despite being without the regular goalkeeper, Aycliffe’s defence were rarely threatened. Morgan gave Aycliffe the lead with an overhead kick, before Shotton equalised through a penalty. It was Noah who give Aycliffe the three points, scoring in the second half. MOTM was Louis.

Under 18’s – Hosted Boro Rangers, Aycliffe come away with a great 3-2 win in what was a feisty affair. Goals from Alex, Tom & Charlie D giving 10 men Aycliffe a huge win at the top of the table.
