A round up of this week’s football from Newton Aycliffe Junior Section.

Under 7’s Whites – Played Hebburn Juniors Madrid, in a game that was very entertaining. Aycliffe scored two goals from Oliver and a wonderful free kick from Felix. POTM was Matilda who was excellent in defence.

Under 7’s Reds – Travelled to Billingham Jnr Lions and come away with an empathic victory in a game full of goals. Goals from Jack, Joseph (2) and Kian (8) made it an impressive day for the reds. A special mention to Alfie and Jack making their league debuts and performing well. MOTM was Kian who scored an impressive eight goals.

Under 7’s Juniors – Played in a tournament at Washington Hub, playing five different games and performing very well across the day, scoring nine goals.

Under 10’s Blacks – Travelled to third division Nunthorpe in the cup. It was a tough day for Aycliffe playing against a particularly good side, however heads never dropped, and Aycliffe were rewarded when Tyler scored a goal. MOTM was Tyler Jay for his great attitude and a deserved goal.

Under 10’s Whites – Entertained Willington Blues, in a tight game Aycliffe scored a good goal. MOTM was Oscar C.

Under 11’s Juniors – Played Aycliffe Youth at home in the cup, Aycliffe went ahead twice, but Youth levelled both times. The game ended in a draw and the Juniors were victorious on penalties. MOTM went to Daniel for a calm, controlled game in defence

Under 11’s Blacks – Played Cleveland Hall in a difficult game for the Black’s today, which ended level. There was a late goal after Rhys made a good run and cross down the left setting Connor up for an equaliser. MOTM was Cody for his arduous work in defence.

Under 12’s – Travelled to Hartlepool St Francis and played some fantastic football coming away with a 5-0 win. Goals from Evan (2), Layton, Archie, and Zach. MOTM went to Zach.

Under 13’s – Lost a home game 2-1 to Hartlepool Reds FC. In a tight game, it was Ewan who scored Aycliffe’s goal. MOTM was Zeke.

Under 14’s Whites – Travelled to Eaglescliffe Elementis Yellows. Aycliffe dominated the match coming away with a 6-1 victory. Aycliffe led at the break with goals from Jake G, Ethan, Tom and then another for Jayden who had set up the previous two goals, scored a screamer from distance. In the second half Trystan made two outstanding saves, before Noah and Tom added to the score line. MOTM was Jayden.

Under 14’s Blacks – Played Whitburn Cleadon at home, coming away with an impressive 7-1 win. Goals from Danny (3), Adam (2), Jayden and Al. MOTM was awarded to Jake.

Under 15 Reds – Won at home to Eaglescliffe, after starting brightly, Aycliffe led 3-0, before pulled it back to 3-2. Aycliffe eventually scored again to come away with the 4-2 victory. Goals from Coaly (2), Tom and Will. MOTM was Alex.

Under 18’s – Travelled to Sedgefield and lost 4-3. Aycliffe led after 15 seconds with Jack finishing well, before Jacob doubled the lead. Into the second half Sedgefield scored two goals to level before Jacob give Aycliffe the lead. Sedgefield grabbed two late goals after defensive lapses for the victory.
